Is CannaSeminar affiliated with any political action group?
No. At CannaSeminar, we pride ourselves in bringin unbiased education to the public. We are purely an educational platform. We do not recommend any proposed law. With regards to proposed legislation, we provide just the facts in order to empower our students to make their own decision.
Why would I attend a CannaSeminar before the law passes in Ohio?
We have a few answers to this question:
(1) We would like every Ohioan to be fully informed of the proposed legislation. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Issue 2 and Issue 3. We intend to help clear up the air. This is why CannaSeminar made the decision to hold it's conferences before the vote in November.
(2) If you are seriously wanting to enter the legal marijuana industry, now is the time to begin to prepare for the upcoming changes in Ohio. Many celebrities, such as Nick Lachey and the descendants of President Taft, have already spent millions of dollars in Ohio for marijuana.
(3) When it comes to marijuana, the state laws are not the center of concern, it's the federal law. That is why we have multiple lawyers on staff that handle marijuana regulation and federal law.
What happens if the law does not pass?
Despite the fact that the polls are strongly in favor of legalization, there is still a possibility of it not passing in Ohio. So what do we do then? We have a number of different business ideas and models that could in fact be implemented currently in Ohio. Furthermore, even if it doesn't happen this time, it will be back sooner or later. We can also help you get established in another state. We are a multinational company and can help you put together a marijuana business in any marijuana friendly state or country.
If the proposed legislation passes, is marijuana legal in Ohio?
No. Marijuana is illegal in the United States, no matter the state. Federal law trumps state law under the Supremacy Clause. However, so long as you stay within certain guidelines, the federal government will not prosecute. There are issues and considerations when we deal with interstate commerce, online sales, marketing, IRS, financing, banking, and security.
